Commercial Street Old Town Auburn

This is a great scene of Commercial Street 1934 with the
courthouse in the background. Must be an early
morning with only a few cars parked and the Old Town
grocery store and Commercial Street business closed.

This iconic street is still active today. I remember how steep the
steps are on this steep little street. When I was very
young I could barely make the steep up the stairs.
By the time I got to the top I was beat! In the 1950’s,
two senior citizens, Olive and Gertie lived
in the Orleans. I learned from them to walk up the street,
not the steps!
