Dutch Flat 1910 Stockton Street

I think this scene is around1910 in Dutch Flat.
The view is looking down Stockton Street. You are standing across
from the Dutch Flat Post Office, between the Hotel and
Golden Drift museum looking towards the Methodist Church.
The buildings were already 50 years old at that time and
they are all still standing. Today you can still stand in the exact place this scene.
Dutch Flat is a Sierra Nevada jewel of days gone by!

This scene depicts a late afternoon on a winter day. The sun streams into
the town from the west illuminating the Methodist church.
School street goes down to the right just past the wagon. The school
sits across from the church and I believe all the houses are still inhabited.

It's a sleepy little town now but back in the day it was teeming with miners,
shop keepers, saloons and brothels.
