Placer Car wash 1968-69

Placer's cafeteria was constructed in 1958 and served the student body
and faculty until 2020 when it was demolished in preparation for the new
two story Learning Commons.

This sketch depicts the era between 1968 and 1970. I graduated
in 1968 and we were the first class to graduate at Placer’s Stadium.
My wife Nancy graduated in 1970 and she was a cheerleader in the 1969
fall games at the stadium.

During 1968 - 1969 the community got behind the new
stadium and business leaders rallied funds from local businesses.
The support was overwhelming and the students will be forever
grateful. Placer students held fundraiser after fundraiser in an
attempt to support the community effort. This carwash was just one
of many fundraisers.
